Selina bt Dato' Seri Yeop Junior
Started her career in Corporate Finance but found her forte to be in public relations when she was seconded to head the Corporate Communications Department of a public listed company in 1995.
Her energy and increased passion for PR lead her to venture into the area of Integrated Communications at one of the largest advertising agencies in Malaysia serving a wide range of clients such as Rothmans of Pall Mall, Carlsberg, IKEA, 7-eleven, Motorola, NIVEA, CTRM, Mobikom, KPMG and many other notable MNCs.In 2000, Selina with the encouragement and support of her clients, decided to utilize her experience fully by setting up her own consultancy Salina & Associates PR Sdn Bhd. Over and above her in-depth knowledge of the media, Selina’s menu of PR skill includes investor relations, brand building and event management.
She is a mother of three boys and holds an MBA from the Southern Pacific University of New York. Despite juggling a heavy workload and family commitments, she is a health enthusiast and finds respite in helping the less privilege. More recently, Selina has made it into the prestigious Harper's Bazaar Power List 2011 and her latest book, Small Business Success Stories - an inspirational tome chronicling the success stories of small Malaysian business owners - was launched by Datin Paduka Seri Rosmah Mansor, the wife of Prime Minister of Malaysia.
Her dedication to charity work is reflected in the book that she co-authored with her closest friend entitled “Success in Small and Medium Business: The IPO Debut” of which the entire sales proceeds went to the the N.S. Chinese Maternity Hospital and the Women’s Institute of Management.
The book gives our home-grown SME-owners an idea of different methods and markets to tap their funding needs.
All net proceeds from the sales of the book will go to the N.S. Chinese Maternity Hospital and the Women’s Institute of Management
